1. Scope

This Policy applies to personal information we collect:

  • on our website and checkout

  • by email, phone, or customer-service message

  • from payment, shipping, and other service providers who help us process orders

  • automatically through cookies, pixels, and similar technologies

We currently sell and ship only to street addresses in the 48 contiguous United States. We do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, Washington, D.C., U.S. territories, APO / FPO / DPO addresses, international addresses, or P.O. boxes. This Policy is written for that operation.

2. Information We Collect

  • Shipping and billing address

  • Order details: products, size or style selections, order notes, gift messages

  • Account details, if you create an account: login email and password

  • Customer-service messages, including photos you send for damage, defect, or return review

  • Marketing preferences, if you subscribe to emails

Payment information

Payments are processed by third-party payment providers. We receive payment status, the last four digits of a card where the processor provides them, and transaction identifiers. We do not store full credit- or debit-card numbers on our servers.

Information collected automatically

  • IP address, browser type, device type, operating system

  • Pages viewed, referring URL, date and time of visit

  • Approximate location derived from IP address

  • Cookie and pixel identifiers

  • Checkout and cart activity

Information from third parties

  • Payment confirmation and fraud-prevention signals from payment processors

  • Delivery scans and delivery status from carriers, including USPS

  • Advertising or analytics identifiers from platforms such as Google, if those tools are installed on our site

We do not require a Social Security number, driver’s license number, or government ID to place a standard order.

We use personal information to:

  • process, pack, ship, and track orders

  • send order, shipping, and return messages

  • handle returns, refunds, exchanges, and claims

  • provide customer service

  • detect fraud, abuse, and unauthorized transactions

  • maintain and improve the website, checkout, and product offering

5. How We Share Personal Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We do not share customer lists with unaffiliated companies for their own marketing.

We disclose personal information only as needed to operate the store:

  • Payment processors, to charge your order and help prevent fraud

  • Shipping carriers and fulfillment partners, including USPS, to deliver parcels and provide tracking

  • Website, hosting, and ecommerce-platform providers, to run the store and checkout

  • Email and customer-service tools, to send order messages and reply to you

  • Analytics and advertising partners, including Google, to measure site use and deliver or measure ads

  • Professional advisers, such as accountants or lawyers, when reasonably necessary

  • Authorities, when required by law, legal process, or to protect rights and safety

  • A buyer or successor, if we sell or reorganize the business, with appropriate protections

These parties may use the information only for the purposes described above, except where they act as independent controllers under their own policies, for example a carrier after a label is created, or Google when you use Google services.

6. Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes in this Policy, including:

  • order and tax records: generally up to 7 years, or longer if the law requires

  • customer-service and return records: long enough to finish the request and handle disputes

  • marketing email lists: until you unsubscribe, or we remove inactive contacts

  • server logs and analytics data: for a limited operational period

When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it where reasonably practicable.

7. Security

Checkout and account pages are served over HTTPS. We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to the information we handle.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If you create an account, please use a unique password and do not share it.

8. Marketing Emails

You may opt out of marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in the email or writing to service@shopcaivera.com. We will still send messages about orders, shipping, returns, and account security.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Subject to applicable law and verification, you may request to:

  • access the personal information we hold about you

  • correct inaccurate information

  • delete information we no longer need to keep

  • receive a copy of information you provided to us

  • opt out of marketing

  • opt out of sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, if that activity occurs on our site

To submit a request, email service@shopcaivera.com with the subject line “Privacy Request.” Please include your name, the email and shipping address used on your order, and the type of request. You may also call +1 724-806-7109 during posted hours.

We may need to verify your identity before completing the request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.

If you use an authorized agent, we may ask for proof of authorization and may still need to verify you directly.

10. Notice for California and Other U.S. State Residents

If you live in California or another U.S. state that grants consumer privacy rights, these additional disclosures apply to the extent required by those laws.

Categories collected in the past 12 months, as applicable: identifiers (name, email, phone, IP address, cookie IDs); commercial information (products viewed or purchased, order history); internet or electronic activity (site interactions); approximate geolocation from IP; and photos or similar files only if you send them to customer service.

Sources: you; your device and browser; payment processors; carriers; and advertising or analytics providers.

Business or commercial purposes: the purposes listed in Section 3.

Categories disclosed for a business purpose: identifiers and commercial information to payment processors, carriers, platform providers, and customer-service tools; identifiers and internet activity to analytics and advertising partners.

Sale or sharing: We do not sell personal information for money. If advertising cookies or pixels on our site count as “sharing” or a “sale” under California or similar state law, you may opt out by emailing service@shopcaivera.com with the subject “Do Not Sell or Share,” by using site cookie controls where available, or by enabling a recognized signal such as GPC.

Sensitive personal information: We do not collect sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you. Payment card data is handled by the payment processor.

Retention: as described in Section 6.

California residents may also have rights under the Shine the Light law to ask about certain information shared with third parties for their direct marketing. We do not share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing.

11. Children

Our store is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has submitted personal information, contact service@shopcaivera.com and we will delete it.

12. Third-Party Sites

Our site may link to carrier tracking pages, payment pages, or social-media pages. Those sites have their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for their practices.

13. International Visitors

We operate in the United States. If you access the site from outside the United States, your information will be processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.

We do not currently ship to Alaska, Hawaii, Washington, D.C., U.S. territories, APO / FPO / DPO addresses, international addresses, P.O. boxes, or any location outside the 48 contiguous United States.

14. Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. The version posted on this page when you use the site or place an order applies to that use or order. Material changes will be posted on this page.
